Giving Thanks

In this season of giving thanks, it’s important to take time to reflect upon the past year and the goals for the coming year.  I’m proud to say we were able to support the Maui Garden Network with our donation of seeds and look to this year to see the fruits of that labor.  Over 20 schools planted seeds – that promises to provide many bountiful harvests!  Our commitment of teaching children how to live and eat a more healthy and balanced life is in full swing and our kids cooking classes healthy snacks are on the horizon.  I was privileged to meet and work with many selfless individuals who are committed to giving back to the community and making Maui self-sustainable – Lehn Huff, Matt Lane and Rebekah Kuby– thank you all for your dedication to the cause.

And finally, I’m thankful for a healthy and happy family that brings me joy and encourages me to continue with my vision to give children a voice about what they put into their bodies, making food a way of life – not a secondary afterthought and supporting island grown food and products.   As the famous Persian poet Rumi said “Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.”
