Announcing the next Persian Cooking Class – April 26, 2014

Come learn, eat and play with us as we talk and taste Persian food in my home kitchen! As a way to give back to the community I offer this class for a donation of $100 per person to the Maui Food Bank. Checks made out to the Maui Food Bank are accepted at the time of the class.

MENU

KUKU SABZI
Fresh Herbs Soufflé

SALAD – E – SHIRAZI
Cucumber, Tomatoes, Red onion, Parsley, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Citrus Juice

SABZI POLO- BA- MAHI
Herb Rice with Wild Salmon in Saffron Sauce

SHOLEH ZARD
Rice Pudding with Saffron, Almond, Rosewater and Cinnamon

PERSIAN TEA
Pistachio Nougat. Noon’ Kishmishi. Hand Cut Sugar

In this cooking class we’ll be celebrating the Persian New Year! The Persian New Year is an ancient tradition Nowruz or Norouz which means “new day’ – this is one of the happiest family holidays and is celebrated on the first day of spring on the vernal equinox- March 20, 21, or 22.
