Chef Paris Nabavi

Chef Nabavi’s mission is to change the way that children eat through education and engagement in healthy eating habits, supporting Maui School Garden Network in sponsoring their organic seed needs and Grow Some Good in their efforts to bring gardening into school curriculums.

Paris Nabavi is a classically trained chef who brought his love of Mexican food with him when he came to Maui from Texas to lead the food and beverage operations of the Kapalua Bay Hotel. Wanting to make his home permanently in Maui, Paris decided to open his own restaurants; in 1998 he launched Pizza Paradiso Mediterranean Grill in Honokowai, followed by Cilantro Mexican Grill in Lahaina in 2004, and Sangrita Grill + Cantina in 2014.

His current initiatives involve working in the community to revolutionize the way our families eat at school and at home.
