Chef Nabavi

Paris Nabavi is a classically trained chef who brought his love of Mexican food with him when he came to Maui from Texas to lead the food and beverage operations of the Kapalua Bay Hotel. Wanting to make his home permanently in Maui, Paris decided to open his own restaurants; in 1998 he launched Pizza Paradiso Mediterranean Grill in Honokowai, followed by Cilantro Mexican Grill in Lahaina in 2004.

Realizing that each of us has the kuleana (responsibility and privilege) to educate and nourish our children, Chef Nabavi is passionate about bringing healthy eating, sustainable growing practices and FUN back into the way we eat. His current initiatives include partnering with Maui School Garden Network to sponsor organic seed for school gardens throughout the island of Maui, Molokai and Lanai and working in the community to revolutionize the way our families eat at school and at home.
